about

This started with the discovery of this great Sci-Fi corridor image, which inspired me to embark on patching my Eurorack modular system to achieve an appropriate Sci-Fi soundscape. This turned out to be a bit of a challenge, when I discovered that the Bitbox Micro firmware wasn't stable enough to handle the samples I was keen to use. Thankfully after many months, the latest firmware proved to deliver the performance I needed.

The Eurorack was recorded live, with manual and random modulation applied, to create the Sci-Fi score I was inspired to create.

If you're looking for Synthwave with classic keyboards used, this album is not of this genre.

Bonus track 2 is the audio, from a YouTube video, I made of my original experimentation for this album.

Bonus track 3 is another shorter live recording, with my imagination being outside the Space Lab.

Bonus track 4 is presented for a quick fix of the Space Lab.

American Astro Monkey Project London, UK

American Astro Monkey Project presents the electronic compositions of Steve Godwin. Based in London he is still inspired by the original 1970s electronica artists Jean-Michel Jarre, Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream & UK's John Foxx & Gary Numan. Analogue synthesis still remains a wondrous world of sound exploration. Steve invites you here to come exploring with him.
